That is one stereotype that boggles me.
I think most Asians are trained from a young age to work hard. Some catch on, some don't. Its definitely not a natural natural attribute.
a question to you, why are Asians good at the rubiks cube?

Why I tend not to eat at Filipino Restaurants.
Why do I tend not to eat at Filipino Restaurants? Well this is a common question that I think no body really asks, but I will tell you anyway. A majority of Filipino restaurants are over priced, and the quantity of food they give you is almost insulting. It's not that the food is bad tasting, or the service is horrible, it's what I said above. That is why I tend not to eat at my peoples' restaurants.
But if I were to recommended one place to eat at I would tell people to eat at Pondahan located in West Covina across the street from the West Covina Mall. I ate there once with my friends, and another time with my family. The food was really tasteful and the service was actually quite pleasant. So if you give in, that's the place to give in to.

To understand a philipino
To understand a stereotypical Philipino, (or is it Filipino?) one must look to the great Terry Maddox. Some of the claims are unbelievable, but in one way or another, they are so ever true. (please give it time to load)

Chinese resturants
Ever wonder why Chinese restaurants have such bad services? Well, it's because they don't care! One thing they do care about is when are you going finish. This allows them to clean up and seat the next the table. It's all about business. Traditional Chinese restaurants (not Pee Efu Changs) do not have waiter-assigned sections. In order to ask for something else after you've placed your order, you just have to wave someone (anybody that works in the restaurant) down. It's also easier if you read and speak Chinese. My friend always has me translating the menu to him because he doesn't know what he's ordering from the English menu. I also order for him in Chinese to ensure he gets what he wants. The easiest to ask for your check, get their attention and make a rectangle shape with you fingers. I've learned this from my friend. It's worked for him and me.
